I have known Megan since she was a little girl which made this wedding so special to be a part of. Megan and Isaiah had a fall wedding planned, but as the world changed, so did their wedding plans. However, those new plans turned out to be the most perfect plans. Megan and Isaiah were surrounded by the love of their wonderful friends and family who all got together as a team and made this day amazing! I am so happy I was able to be there to capture all that went into this beautiful wedding day.

I have known Amelia fro quite sometime through church, but I had not had met Alix until their engagement shoot. I was so happy to see the love in Alix and Amelia's eyes when they looked at each other, and I all I could think was what a gentleman he was. Amelia had a vision for both their engagement shoot and their wedding day, and both turned out just perfect! You can see by the beautiful details in the slideshow below just how much thought and effort she put in to make it the most perfect day, and it truly was!! Alix and Amelia, you both were captivating on your wedding day, and it was truly a whimsical and romantic day! I wish you both love and happiness!!

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs Acevedo!!
**be sure to leave them some love in the guestbook!
Well that night started our "photographer-client" relationship, a relationship that is laid back but we get the job done while having a blast at the same time! This comfort with each other flowed right over into their amazing wedding day. We had many conversations leading up to this event, so I knew exactly how the day would flow, and it was just perfect. You see, Tess's first wedding that she had ever been to was her own!! She had nothing to base this experience on, and she and Brendon planned a beautiful day in spite of this!!
Scroll down below for a slideshow highlighting their day (be sure to watch it in HD quality).
Congratulations Tess and Brendon, I look forward taking more pictures of you both!!

The kids (and me) are starting to get cabin fever, so when a friend of mine posted on Facebook a fun activity to do with the snow, INSIDE, I jumped on it!!! Not sure if you have ever heard of it, but it certainly was my first time hearing about Snow Cream!
If you don't know how to make it, you can find the recipe below, enjoy!!!
Step One: Gather up about 8 cups of nice clean snow
Step two: In a Large bowl mix snow, a 14 ounce can (or bottle like we had) of Sweetened condensed milk, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Step Three: Place in the prettiest glasses you have (a bowl and spoon works well too)
Step Four: ENOY!! It really was very yummy!!!
]]>In seeing so many of my friends posting about what they are thankful for this year on Facebook, I decided instead to bring this concept into our family in the form of a "Gratitude Jar". Each day my husband, 2 boys and I are writing down one thing we are thankful for on a leaf (each of us was assigned a different color leaf). On Thanksgiving Day, we will read all of the leaves!
I think we will try to make this a yearly tradition!!
What are some of your Thanksgiving Traditions? Share in the comments if you'd like!!

In my search for the perfect location for our Fall Mini-Shoots, a friend of mine suggested I visit his friend's farm, so this morning, my husband and I headed out.
We were greeted by a genuine farmer, who gave us some insight about the history of this serene place that was bought by his wife's family back in 1939. As he gave us a tour of his beautiful farm, our eyes were met by acres upon acres of rolling fields filled with crops of corn, pumpkins, apple trees and berries just to name a few. The beauty was enhanced by the charm of antique tractors, old pick up trucks, and even rustic watering cans lining the property.
I still have a couple of more places to scope out for the Fall mini-shoots, but Hidden Acres is definitely in the running for 1st place, what do you think?

We left while the sun was setting to give us me plenty of time to set up for a great view shot. We drove to a couple of the locations we had in mind, and no moon. The boys wanted snacks, so we decided to drive to a local convenience store, and then there it was, Adan spotted what was to be the "Pink Moon"!
There is was, low to the ground, huge, beautiful, and yes, to me it looked to have a pinkish tone!! We found a good spot, not as scenic as I had envisioned, but with a great view. We had some technical difficulties with the tripod, so the top of the minivan had to do, and it did, as I was able to capture some decent images!
What we all noticed, however, as the sun set and the pink tone of the sky diminished, the pink tone of the moon also disappeared, and although beautiful, bright and full, it appeared to be a normal colored moon. So being the curious type that I am, I decided to to a bit of research and found that The Native Americans named the full moons based on their harvests at the time of their appearance. The "pink moon" would occur during the time the wild ground phlox would blossom (which is a plant that produces beautiful, bright pink flowers) and that is how the "pink moon" got it's name. It is the first Full Moon of The Spring.
